Alloy 718 Flange Grade 718 Inconel Flange is the most common grade of the hardenable Inconel. This precipitation-hardened nickel-chromium alloy combines outstanding corrosion resistance and high strength at elevated temperatures. The alloy is an about 2x as strong as Inconel grade 625 having excellent creep-rupture strength at temperatures to 1300¡ãF (700¡ãC) and usable up to 1800¡ãF (982¡ãC). Inconel grade 718 is often used in gas turbines, rocket motors, spacecraft, nuclear reactors, pumps, and tooling.

Alloys 800H and 800HT are iron-nickel-chromium solid solution strengthened alloys with a nominal chemical composition of 42% iron, 34% nickel, and 22% chromium.

The Incoloy 800h Pipe produced in accordance with the ASTM B407 specification is supplied either in the form of cold worked or hot finished manner. Aside from conforming to the chemistry requirements of the said specification the Sb 407 UNS N08810 Incoloy Alloy 800h Round Pipe, is to be heat treated at determined annealing temperatures. Another requirement that needs to be adhered to is the Sb 407 N08810 Grade 1.4958 Pipe needs to be tested and measured via the Planimetric method.

800H can not be corroded in many kinds of media. Its higher nickel content made it have good stress corrosion resistance cracking properties in the water corrosion condition. High chromium content made it better resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion cracking. This alloy can resist nitric acid and organic acid, but it is not so fine in the sulfuric acid and hydrochloric acid.
800H have good corrosion resistance to both oxidation and non-oxidizing salt, but maybe a little pitting in halide, and also excellent properties in the mixture of water, smoke, steam, air and carbon dioxide.

800H (NCF 800H, UNS N08810)/NAS 800T (UNS N08811) are nickel-iron-chromium alloys that provide high strength and excellent resistance to oxidation and carburization at high temperatures. High creep strength is attained through control over crystal grains¡ªvia high temperature heat treatment, together with fine control over carbon, titanium, and aluminum content. Incoloy 800H has a restricted carbon content range of 0.05 to 0.10%, which is in the upper portion of that of Incoloy 800, and is annealed at 1149 to 1177oC (Incoloy 800 is annealed at 983 to 1038oC). These differences impart it to have higher stress rupture and creep properties than Incoloy 800.

Alloy 625 is generally supplied in the annealed condition, to provide utmost stability during fabrication and subsequent service. INCONEL 625 alloy has found to have a resistance to potable and salt or brackish water, where Chloride ions cause pitting and crevice corrosion to become established. As a result, pipelines for gathering sour gas have been built with solid (or clad) INCONEL 625 alloy and used in seawater heat exchangers in refineries, power plants, and offshore topside services that often need this material.

Additionally, the alloy’s properties make it an excellent choice for sea-water applications, including freedom from local attack (pitting and crevice corrosion), high corrosion-fatigue strength, high tensile strength, and resistance to chloride-ion stress-corrosion cracking.
