Incoloy 800H has a restricted carbon content range of 0.05 to 0.10%, which is in the upper portion of that of Incoloy 800, and is annealed at 1149 to 1177oC (Incoloy 800 is annealed at 983 to 1038oC). These differences impart it to have higher stress rupture and creep properties than Incoloy 800.

Inconel Alloy 600 tubing is made from a non-magnetic, nickel-chromium alloy known for its good oxidation resistance at high temperatures. In fact, Inconel Alloy 600 (UNS N06600) was designed for use from cryogenic to elevated temperatures up to and surpassing 2000 degrees F. 800H can not be corroded in many kinds of media. Its higher nickel content made it have good stress corrosion resistance cracking properties in the water corrosion condition. High chromium content made it better resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion cracking. This alloy can resist nitric acid and organic acid, but it is not so fine in the sulfuric acid and hydrochloric acid.
800H have good corrosion resistance to both oxidation and non-oxidizing salt, but maybe a little pitting in halide, and also excellent properties in the mixture of water, smoke, steam, air and carbon dioxide.

Alloy 800, 800H and 800HT are used in various applications from furnace components, petrochemical furnace cracker tubes to sheathing for electrical heating elements.

Alloy 625 is generally supplied in the annealed condition, to provide utmost stability during fabrication and subsequent service. INCONEL 625 alloy has found to have a resistance to potable and salt or brackish water, where Chloride ions cause pitting and crevice corrosion to become established. As a result, pipelines for gathering sour gas have been built with solid (or clad) INCONEL 625 alloy and used in seawater heat exchangers in refineries, power plants, and offshore topside services that often need this material.

Additionally, the alloy’s properties make it an excellent choice for sea-water applications, including freedom from local attack (pitting and crevice corrosion), high corrosion-fatigue strength, high tensile strength, and resistance to chloride-ion stress-corrosion cracking.
