Medium carbon steel bolts, anchor bolts, screws, studs, nuts and self-drilling screws contain between 0.25 – 0.60% carbon and 0.60 – 1.65% manganese by weight. The mechanical properties of these studs are improved by heat treatment.

No different elements – used as an alloying agent, not other types of steel, which makes nuts and bolts known as low-cost bolts. Carbon steel nut and bolt grades are divided into three different categories based on the carbon content of mild, medium and high carbon steels.

High carbon steel bolts have a carbon content between 0.60 – 1.25%. High carbon steel alloys have manganese content in the range of 0.30 – 0.90%. Of all three grades, high carbon steel threaded rod has the highest hardness and toughness while exhibiting the lowest ductility. The high wear resistance comes from the fact that these screws are almost always hardened and tempered.

Nuts are attached to corresponding bolts or rods to secure items. Cap nuts protect the threads of fasteners by preventing them from protruding. The locknut and locknut are locked on the bolt to prevent loosening. Thumb nut and wing nut are manually adjustable. The connecting nut is an extension for connecting two threaded rods.

Bolts and Nuts fall under the ASTM B166 specification for hot and cold work Inconel 600 bar, bar bolts and nuts. Standards vary from DIN, ASTM, BS and all other international standards. Inconel 600 fasteners can vary in length from custom lengths and 3mm to 200mm, and also in sizes from M3 to M56 and 3/6″ to 2″. There are different types of bolts and nuts in Alloy 600 Fasteners such as T-Nuts, Panel Nuts, Coupling Nuts and Lag and Hex Bolts.

Incoloy 800-800H-800HT bolts are a nickel-iron-chromium alloy with good strength and resistance to oxidation and carburization under high temperature exposure. These nickel-steel alloys are the same, except the 800H alloy has a higher carbon content, and up to 1.20% aluminum and titanium have been added to the 800HT alloy. General corrosion resistance is considered by many to be very good. Alloys 800H and 800HT exhibit excellent creep and stress rupture under solution annealed conditions.

Incoloy alloys belong to the Inconel family. This means that the alloy can be used at high temperatures. At high temperatures, a problem associated with certain grades of stainless steel is oxidation. The chemical composition of Incoloy 800 fasteners allows them to be used at high temperatures. The higher the carbon content, the more chance they have to withstand high temperatures. Therefore, manufacturers produce derivative alloys of UNS N08800 bolts, called Alloy 800H and Alloy 800HT, which have slightly different chemical compositions.

During natural gas processing, several common contaminants, such as water, carbon dioxide, and hydrogen sulfide, come into contact with equipment components, including alloy 600 studs. These contaminants are highly corrosive in nature. Therefore, it makes sense to use Din 2.4816 forgings in the equipment. This is because Inconel 600 threaded rods offer several advantages.

Hastelloy C-276 fasteners and other products in the Hastelloy family have excellent resistance to corrosion and oxidizing and reducing chemicals. Due to its adaptability, Hastelloy C-276 alloy can be used in problem areas and is more likely to occur in process areas. Hastelloy 276 bolts and fasteners are suitable for most chemical applications in the welded condition. However, it should be noted that in environments where C-276 alloy weld joints are subject to attack, C-22 weld filler material should be considered.

A nut is a fastener that runs through its inner radius. Nuts are used in combination with bolts to hold a virtually unlimited number of parts, objects and accessories for many types of applications. When Monel 400 alloy is used as a material for making nuts, benefits can be seen in the short and long term. Monel Nickel Copper 400 Nuts provide strength and corrosion resistance in both acidic and alkaline environments. Monel NiCu 400 nuts are also known for their favorable dimensional accuracy and non-corrosion in salt water and hydrofluoric acid.

Hastelloy C2000 fasteners combine the excellent resistance to oxidizing media of C276 with excellent resistance to non-oxidizing environments, making it a unique alloy for protecting chemical process equipment under a variety of conditions, including fluids contaminated with iron ions . It is designed to provide greater versatility than other Hastelloy alloys. This is achieved by increasing the content of chromium and molybdenum and adding a small but effective amount of copper (1.6%). The addition of copper increases the temperature capability of C2000 fasteners in sulfuric, hydrofluoric, and dilute hydrochloric acids.

Hastelloy X is a nickel-chromium-iron-molybdenum alloy. It has excellent oxidation resistance, workability and high temperature strength. It also exhibits good resistance to stress corrosion cracking in petrochemical applications. It shows very good ductility after prolonged exposure at 1200 to 1600 degrees Fahrenheit. It has excellent forming and welding properties, and is widely used in furnaces for aircraft and gas turbines.

Hastelloy X fasteners, also known as UNS N06002 fasteners, have excellent corrosion resistance and high temperature strength. It is very resistant to stress corrosion cracking but has excellent ductility when subjected to 16,00 hours of torture at temperatures up to 1,600F. It is also suitable for furnaces, heaters and many high temperature applications because it is weldable, heat treatable and relatively easy to machine. That’s why we think Hastelloy X fasteners basically offer the best of both worlds – corrosion and heat resistance.

Inconel is an austenitic superalloy whose main alloying materials are nickel and chromium. This nickel based ASTM B166 Inconel 600 gasket is designed for applications ranging from low temperatures to high temperatures up to 2000¡ãF. The main feature of these alloy 600 screws is their enhanced corrosion resistance and high temperature resistance. The increased tensile strength of Inconel 600 is enhanced by solid solution strengthening.

This nickel 2.4816 bolt is inherently non-magnetic. Inconel 600 Nuts and Bolts have excellent mechanical properties, offering buyers an advantageous combination of high strength and good weldability over a wide temperature range. The high nickel content in Inconel 600 screws allows them to maintain considerable resistance under reducing conditions. The nickel content in Alloy 600 bolts makes the fastener resistant to corrosion by a variety of organic and inorganic compounds. For example, Inconel 600 bolts have excellent resistance to chloride stress-related corrosion cracking, while also exhibiting excellent resistance to alkaline solutions.

Hastelloy fasteners such as bolts, screws, nuts and threaded rods are ideal for use in a variety of moderately to severely corrosive acid environments. The most common grade of Hastelloy fasteners is Hastelloy C276 (2.4819), which is one of the most versatile corrosion-resistant nickel alloys, surpassing Inconel or Monel. There are also other special grades of Hastelloy fasteners that can address more niche corrosion problems.

Hastelloy C276 is an extremely versatile material that has been used in a variety of harsh environments. It exhibits corrosion resistance to chloride-containing media, organic acids, oxidizing media, reducing acids, seawater and brine, and sulphur-containing flue gas. Hastelloy C276 replaces Alloy C (UNS N10002), which has slightly lower chromium and molybdenum contents. The high nickel, molybdenum and tungsten contents make them expensive compared to austenitic stainless steels. It is by far the most popular super alloy.

Inconel 601 fasteners are designed to withstand severe corrosion and high temperature exposure. These fasteners contain nickel and chromium alloys for excellent corrosion, heat and oxidation resistance. Nickel content retains ductility and high temperature strength after prolonged use. Fasteners of this grade produce a tightly adherent scale that resists spalling under severe thermal cycling conditions.

Inconel 625 Bolts were developed in the 1960s as a vapor-lined piping material to provide high strength even in extreme high temperatures ranging from freezing low temperatures to 1800¡ãF. Inconel 625 Bolts, also known as Alloy 625, are known for their amazing ability to maintain strength and heat resistance in and out of corrosive environments. The presence of nickel and chromium makes Inconel 625 bolts resistant to corrosion, oxidation and carburization. Molybdenum helps provide excellent fatigue strength and resistance to stress, pitting and crevice corrosion cracking even when exposed to chloride ions.

Inconel 625 bolts can be used in a variety of corrosive environments due to their ability to prevent stress corrosion, crevice corrosion and pitting corrosion. In mild applications such as atmospheric, fresh or salt water, neutral salts and alkaline media are almost completely tolerated. In more severe cases, nickel and chromium content provides resistance to oxidizing chemicals. Inconel 625 bolts are also resistant to non-oxidizing environments.

Inconel 625 Bolts are easy to weld using conventional welding processes, which is especially useful for Inconel 625 Weld Studs. This alloy is often chosen for its weldability compared to other highly alloyed nickel-based alloys. Alloy 625 resists intergranular corrosion even in the as-welded condition. Furthermore, post-weld heat treatment of the weld is not necessary to maintain corrosion resistance.

Alloy 825 bolts have good mechanical properties from low temperatures to moderately high temperatures up to about 1000¡ãF. Microstructural changes that significantly reduce ductility and impact strength occur when used at temperatures above 1000¡ãF.

Incoloy Alloy 800 / 800H / 800HT Fasteners (Nuts and Bolts) series for extreme corrosion resistance even in sour environments. Due to the high nickel and chromium content, Incoloy 800 hex head bolts resist oxidation and carburization at high temperatures. The chemical balance allows Incoloy 800H square nuts to exhibit excellent resistance to carburizing, oxidizing and nitriding atmospheres.

Inconel 601 Flat Washers are a family of nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloys for high strength and good corrosion resistance at elevated temperatures. The high alloy content of Inconel 601 Punch Washers enables them to withstand a wide range of severe corrosive environments. Inconel 601 machined washers are commonly used in industrial applications that require very strong components, including power and utility equipment, petrochemical, and oil and gas processing machinery. Inconel 601 round washers are used in high temperature applications to compensate for loosening of threaded connections or to maintain sealing effects, such as pipe connections in chemical or steel mills, heat exchangers, boilers, rolling mills, etc.
