310S stainless steel is the lower carbon version of 310 plate which is less prone to embrittlement and sensitization in service. 310H stainless steel plate is the high carbon version.

904L stainless steel combines molybdenum and copper with iron for tremendously increased resistance to reducing acids like sulphuric acid. It stands up extremely well to chlorides in the environment for low pitting and crevice corrosion, as well as stress corrosion cracking.

904L cannot be hardened by heat treatment. You can weld 904L stainless using any standard method, but it is susceptible to hot cracking. It can be machined but does not machine well.

The SS 904L coil is used in heat exchangers and in high temperature applications because of their high melting range of 1300 to 1390 degrees Celsius.

The 1.4539 Plate is a standard which governs the thickness of the sheets and plates. There are different specifications to cover the sheets and plates as well.

Stainless steel has been in use for more than one hundred years.

The alloying element that makes steel ¡®stainless¡¯ is chromium; however it is the addition of nickel that enables stainless steel to become such a versatile alloy.

Most iron-based metals react with water to produce the reddish iron oxide known better as rust. The oxygen atoms in the water pulls iron off of the base metal to form the porous rust structure with no real strength.

Nickel is so important that nickel-containing grades make up 75% of stainless steel production. The best-known of these are Type 304, which has 8% nickel and Type 316, which has 11%.

These sheets have excellent tensile strength, creep rupture, and corrosion resistance, while also exhibiting excellent pitting and high temperature crevice resistance. In addition, it has excellent durability to withstand acid attack and withstand harsh climatic conditions.

Although chemically similar to 316 grade austenitic stainless steel, 317 alloy has a slightly higher molybdenum content in its alloy. Above 3% molybdenum, the properties of stainless steel 317 sheet and plate are enhanced, making it particularly suitable for applications that cannot be met with 316 alloy.

254 SMO Bar is a high alloyed austenitic stainless steel grade. This stainless steel grade has been developed for use in seawater and other media containing corrosive chlorides.

Alloy 309/309S (UNS S30900/S30908) Austenitic stainless steels are typically used in high temperature applications. Its high chromium and nickel content provides comparable corrosion resistance to ordinary austenitic alloy 304, excellent oxidation resistance and a greater percentage of room temperature strength retention.

Alloy 309 (UNS S30900) is an austenitic stainless steel developed for high temperature corrosion resistant applications. The alloy resists oxidation up to 1900¡ãF (1038¡ãC) under non-cycling conditions. Frequent thermal cycling reduces oxidation resistance to approximately 1850¡ãF (1010¡ãC).

Stainless steel 304 and stainless steel 304L are also known as 1.4301 and 1.4307 respectively. Type 304 is the most versatile and versatile stainless steel. It is still sometimes referred to by its old name, 18/8, which derives from the nominal composition Type 304 being 18% chromium and 8% nickel.

Type 316/316L is a chromium-nickel austenitic stainless steel containing molybdenum. The addition of molybdenum improves corrosion resistance compared to 304/304L in halide environments and in reducing acids such as sulfuric and phosphoric acid. Type 316L can be dual certified as 316 when the composition meets the carbon lower limit of 316L and the slightly higher strength level of 316.

SS 316H Forged Tee is a short pipe with a transverse connection at right angles to the pipe. Mostly used to connect multiple pipes to one pipe with two outlets. Usually, they contain an entry. The SS 316 Forged Cross is used to combine or distribute flow by connecting pipes at cross joints and splitting the flow from each pipe.
