Mechanical Properties stainless steel 316L 1.4404 SUS316L pipe
Stainless Steel 316L tube is made of austenitic stainless steel with chromium, nickel and molybdenum in its composition, with a carbon content lower than grade 316. The low carbon content of the pipe makes it easier for welding applications.
Stainless steel 316L piping is used in waterborne applications with high chloride ion corrosion. Due to the molybdenum content in it, the material has a low corrosion rate in chloride ion rich environments. There are welded pipes, seamless pipes and assembled pipes.
Alloy 316L is a low carbon version of Alloy 316. Stainless Steel 316L Tubing/Tube Consists of Molybdenum, Nickel and Chromium. The molybdenum content of this grade makes it highly resistant to corrosion and easy to weld.
