400¡¯s mechanical properties in sub zero temperatures are excellent. The strength and hardness of Alloy 400 increase with only a minor decrease of impact resistance or ductility. 400 can maintain its toughness over a large range of temperatures. A PIPING ELBOW, on the other hand, is a specific, standard, engineered bend pre-fabricated as a spool piece (based on ASME B 16.9) and designed to either be screwed, flanged, or welded to the piping it is associated with. An elbow can be 45 degrees or 90 degrees. In recent years, the technology has been utilized for a large number of plant construction projects as the Weldless Piping System is capable of efficient piping processes for producing small-radius bends with reduced wall thickness, instead of conventional plant pipe elbows.
The shaped steel or large-radius bending technique has been used to manufacture materials for construction and civil engineering works. We recommend our onsite bending service (machine rental) for overseas plant construction projects.
