Monel nickel-copper alloy K-500 tube and pipe
Monel K500 alloy has excellent corrosion resistance, and has higher strength and hardness than Monel 400. This is due to the addition of elements such as Al and Ti to the alloy, and after a certain heat treatment, there are dispersed intermetallic compounds on the substrate.
Monel K500 has about three times the yield strength and twice the tensile strength of Monel 400, and higher mechanical properties can be obtained by cold working or age hardening. Monel K500 alloy has the same corrosion resistance as Monel 400 alloy. Monel K500 is an age-hardenable alloy in the Monel series of nickel-copper corrosion-resistant alloys, and the American metal and alloy uniform number is N05500. Monel K500 alloy has excellent corrosion resistance, and at the same time has higher strength and hardness than Monel 400. This is because elements such as Al and Ti are added to the alloy, and after a certain heat treatment, there are dispersed intermetallic compounds on the matrix. The structure is a single-phase austenite structure and is precipitated by dispersed Ni3 (Al, Ti) precipitates.
