The 718 superalloy contains large amounts of molybdenum, iron, niobium, and niobium, as well as small amounts of aluminum and titanium. Inconel 718 bar is known for its fracture, high tensile and impact strength, and excellent weldability. This superalloy can be used over a wide temperature range because Inconel 718 round bars are able to withstand the rigors of extreme cold and heat.

Additionally, Inconel 718 is a high-strength nickel-based superalloy for long-term service at low temperatures of 1200°F. The alloy is easy to manufacture and can be welded in the annealed or precipitation (age) hardened condition.

It can even be made into complex parts. Its welding properties, especially its resistance to post-weld cracking, are excellent. The ease and economy of manufacture of INCONEL Alloy 718, coupled with good tensile, fatigue, creep and rupture strengths, makes it useful in a wide range of applications. Examples of these are components for liquid-fueled rockets, rings and various formed sheet metal components for aircraft and land-based gas turbine engines. It is also used in fasteners and instrumentation parts.
