Alloy C-276 also has excellent resistance to pitting, stress-corrosion cracking and oxidizing atmospheres up to 1900¡ãF. Alloy C-276 has exceptional resistance to a wide variety of chemical environments.

Welding of this alloy is similar to that of the C-22 alloy. Gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW) and shielded metal arc welding (SMAW) are commonly used to weld C-276 alloys.

It is recommended that the alloy be welded in the solution annealed condition with C-276 filler metal.

These alloys of flanges are basically non-magnetic but feature superior higher strength at a temperature range of 1500 degree F. whereas show good oxidation resistance up to 2200 degree F.
