INCOLOY alloys belong to the category of super austenitic stainless steels. These alloys use nickel-chromium-iron as the base metal and add additives such as molybdenum, copper, nitrogen and silicon. These alloys are known for their excellent strength at high temperatures and good corrosion resistance in a variety of corrosive environments.
Incoloy 800, 800H and 800HT are nickel-iron-chromium alloys with good strength and excellent resistance to oxidation and carburization at high temperature exposure. These nickel-steel alloys are the same, except the 800H alloy has a higher carbon content, and up to 1.20% aluminum and titanium have been added to the 800HT alloy.
Inconel and Incoloy are alloys that belong to the same family of superalloys, often referred to as high performance alloys. In addition to providing high resistance to various forms of corrosion, these two superalloys also exhibit excellent resistance to oxidation. Both superalloys exhibit very high mechanical strength at elevated temperatures.
