S31803 duplex sheet prices
Duplex steel sheets are resistant to chloride stress corrosion cracking at 150¡ãC.
It is a suitable replacement for austenitic grades, especially in marine environments and premature failure environments. For chloride pitting and crevice corrosion resistance, their chromium, molybdenum and nitrogen content is paramount. Duplex stainless steel grades offer a range of corrosion resistance similar to the range of austenitic stainless steels, from Type 304 or 316 (such as LDX 2101) to 6% molybdenum (such as SAF 2507) stainless steels. Duplex stainless steels are extremely corrosion-resistant, work-hardenable alloys. Their microstructure consists of a mixture of austenite and ferrite phases. Therefore, duplex stainless steels exhibit the properties of austenitic and ferritic stainless steels.
