Nickel Alloy 400 and Monel 400, also known as UNS N04400, is a ductile nickel-copper-based alloy consisting primarily of two-thirds nickel and one-third copper. Nickel Alloy 400 is known for its resistance to a variety of corrosive conditions, including alkalis (or acids), salt water, hydrofluoric acid, and sulfuric acid. Since Monel 400 or Alloy 400 is a cold worked metal, this alloy has high hardness, stiffness and strength. By cold working ASTM B164 UNS N04400 bar stock, the alloy is subjected to higher levels of mechanical stress, which in turn causes changes in the alloy’s microstructure.

ASTM B564 601 Raised Face Flange Inconel 601 Flanges are made up of a nickel chromium alloy. The material grads range differently with the composition ratio. The 601 grade has 58% nickel, 21% chromium, carbon, manganese, silicon, sulfur, copper and iron in the composition. There are different types such as socket weld flanges, welded neck flanges, Inconel 601 Slip On Flanges, orifice flanges and so on. The flanges made of this material are strong, corrosion resistant to acids, reducing agents and oxidation and are also harder.

The grade is non-magnetic in all conditions and has excellent formability and weldability. The austenitic structure also gives this grade excellent toughness, even down to cryogenic temperatures.

Hastelloy C-4 is a nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloy with outstanding high temperature stability. It has high ductility and corrosion resistance. It’s high temperature resistance up to 1900 ¡ãF (1038 ¡ãC) makes it suitable for most chemical process application in the “as” welded condition.
Like other nickel alloys, it is ductile, easy to form and weld, and possesses exceptional resistance to stress corrosion cracking in chloride-bearing solutions (a form of degradation to
which the austenitic stainless steels are prone). With its high chromium and molybdenum
contents, it is able to withstand both oxidizing and non-oxidizing acids, and is resistant to
pitting and crevice attack in the presence of chlorides and other halides.

The Incoloy 800Ht Pipe is a slight modification to the 800H alloys. In these pipes the combined titanium and aluminum levels allow the pipes to work at slightly higher temperatures than the 800h alloys. Both these alloys can be dual certified and are preferred for use in high-temperature setups.

This nickel steel alloy can be used in the as-welded condition because it resists the formation of grain-boundary carbide precipitates in the weld heat-affected zone.
