SS316 pan head bolt S31600 bolt m32
Types 304 and 316 are very common grades of stainless steel and refer to only one type of stainless steel. If you were to look for Type 304 or 316 stainless steel bolts in the ASTM Handbook of Fastener Standards, you won’t find them. This is because they are steel grades and not fastener specifications, but engineers will specify them and contractors will require them.
Stainless steel hex set screws are generally used in marine structural applications. Material designation or our stainless steel hex set screws are A4-70. This represents a tensile strength of 700 Newtons per square millimeter, similar to standard high-strength steel bolts, but not as high as the highest grade steel bolts. In general, these stainless steel bolts are suitable for general structural applications where optimum corrosion and contamination resistance is required, such as most places on ships or other marine equipment.
