stainless steel hex bolt fastener 1.4529 bolt

The austenitic stainless steel 6Mo was developed on the basis of alloy 904l/1.4539. However, the molybdenum content at 6Mo is increased to 6.5%. 6Mo has excellent general corrosion resistance and improved pitting and crevice corrosion resistance. Resistance to stress corrosion cracking is also improved. It is often referred to as super austenitic stainless steel.

Material 1.4529, also known as Alloy 926, is an austenitic speciality steel with higher corrosion resistance than conventional chrome-nickel steels.

Alloy 926 is an improvement over Alloy 904L (1.4539) stainless steel with higher molybdenum content and additional nitrogen. For this reason, the material is classified as the highest corrosion resistance class, CRC V.
