Nickel Alloy Fasteners

Nimonic bolts and nuts are ideal for use in aircraft parts and custom designed gas turbine components, from turbine blade mounting to exhaust nozzles on jet engines, Nimonic fasteners are exposed to very high levels of pressure and heat.

Similar to Nimonic 75 alloy with good corrosion and oxidation resistance. Creep rupture and tensile properties are high at 815¡ãC (1500¡ãF). It can be hot worked in the temperature range of 1050-1200¡ãC.

Nimonic 80a Bolt is a low creep superalloy fastener made from an alloy containing over 50% nickel, 20% chromium, and additions of titanium and aluminum.

Nimonic 80 a (Alloy 80A) is one of the most popular superalloys specified for gas turbines. Nimonic 80A fasteners are often specified because of their ability to withstand very high temperatures.

Nimonic 80A is a precipitation hardenable nickel-chromium alloy. It has been largely replaced by Nimonic 90 and Inconel X-750, but it is still specified for nuclear applications due to its low cobalt content.

Hastelloy fasteners can be used in applications involving a wide range of media, including reducing acids and oxidizing agents. As the most versatile alloy c276 fastener, it is most commonly used for bolting of all Hastelloy grade fasteners.

Also known as Alloy 625, Inconel 625 hex bolts are known for their ability to retain their strength and resist heat ¨C both in and out of corrosive environments. The presence of nickel and chromium make Inconel 625 hex bolts corrosion, oxidation and carburization resistant. The molybdenum delivers excellent fatigue strength and resistance to stress, pitting and crevice corrosion cracking even when exposed to chloride ions.

Inconel 625 hex bolts are used in a variety of corrosive environments. In sea water applications, Inconel 625 hex bolts remain free from pitting and crevice corrosion. This makes it ideal for marine, submarine and Navy applications. Additionally, Inconel 625 hex bolts can be used in a variety of extreme conditions from heat shields to marine applications.

Inconel bolts, like Inconel 600, 601,625,686,718 & 725 bolts, are a family of nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloys used for their high strength at elevated temperatures and good corrosion resistance. Because of its high thermal stability, Inconel can be used in service temperatures ranging from cryogenic to 2200¡ãF (982¡ãC). The high alloy content of Inconel bolts enable it to withstand a wide variety of severe corrosive environments.

Inconel 625 Bolts are used mostly in cyclic cooling and heating applications. They are useful in electric resistance welding applications. The bolts are used in housing of engines, honeycomb structures and in hydraulic lines

Inconel 625 is a nickel-based alloy, but its high strength capabilities are due to the addition of molybdenum and niobium on its nickel-chromium matrix. Inconel 625 is also, therefore, resistant to a wide range of corrosive environments of unusual severity.

Inconel 625 flat washers offer good corrosion resistance at elevated temperatures and high-temperature stability at 2200¡ãF. They also retain their strength and resist heat in and out of corrosive environments. This makes these flat washers perfect for applications ranging from heat shields to saltwater applications.

Inconel 625 Self-Locking Nuts may be forged or hot worked providing temperature is maintained in the range of about 1800-2150 Degree C. Inconel 625 Nylon Insert Nuts is a nickel-based superalloy that possesses high strength properties and resistance to elevated temperatures.

Inconel 625 Spring Washers is commercially pure wrought alloy with a lower carbon content to prevent embrittlement by inter-granular carbon at elevated temperatures. Inconel 625 Wire Spring Washers has characteristics that are useful in several fields, notably chemical processing and electronics. Inconel 625 Flat Spring Washers are also known as solid solution strengthened and commercially pure wrought materials.

Alloy 20 Stud Bolts are externally threaded fasteners without a head, used with 2 nuts on either side, substituting a usual “bolt & nut” assembly. Stud bolts are prominently used in flange connections. Depending upon their design and threading patterns, there are different types of stud bolts as below.

Alloy 20 Fully Threaded Studs, also known as Continuous Threaded Studs or All Thread Studs, are headless fasteners, threaded continuously along the entire length of the stud. Fully threaded studs are usually fastened with two nuts, and are designed for use in applications that entail high tension.

Alloy 20 A nylon insert lock nut is hex-shaped, internally threaded with a nylon insert or collar. The nylon material prevents loosening from vibration by increasing friction between the nylon and the screw thread. The insert deforms elastically over the threads of the screw, but threads are not cut into the nylon. This lock nut style is also referred to as a nyloc or nylock nut, polymer insert lock nut, or elastic stop nut.

Alloy 20 bolts offer users a combination of nickel, chromium, molybdenum, and copper which provides good general corrosion resistance. Alloy 20 (2.4660) bolts are best suited for mid-range corrosion use ¨C better than steel alloys but not at the level of high performance nickel based alloys like Hastelloy C276.

Alloy 20 Bolts are made up of a nickel chromium alloy that has 32.5% nickel, 19% chromium, carbon, copper, molybdenum, manganese, silicon, columbium and iron in the composition.?The material is also known as carpenter 20 for its usage in wooden applications.

The Alloy 20 stainless steel hex nut has a plain finish and meets American Society of Mechanical Engineers ASME B18.2.2 specifications. It has six flat sides that a wrench can grip to turn from the side, enabling use when there is no space above the nut. Alloy 20 stainless steel offers better corrosion resistance in many aggressive environments than 316 stainless steel. The material may be slightly magnetic.

Alloy 20 Heavy Hex Nuts, also referred to as structural nuts, are both thicker and wider than a standard (finished) hex nut and compatible with high strength and large diameter bolts. Nuts in sizes 7/16″ and smaller are double chamfered. Nuts larger than 7/16″ are either double chamfered or chamfered on top with a washer faced bearing surface. They are most commonly used in construction and engineering applications and paired with heavy hex (structural) bolts.

The alloy 20 stainless steel flat washer has a plain finish. The flat washer provides a bearing surface for fastener load distribution or is used as a spacer between components. Alloy 20 stainless steel is strong and provides better corrosion resistance in aggressive chemical environments than 316 stainless steel. The material may be slightly magnetic.

Alloy 20 washers provide good performance in hot sulfuric acid, specifically they offer good resistance to stress-corrosion cracking in boiling sulfuric acid at specific range of 20% to 40% concentration, as well as general sulfuric acid resistance. Alloy 20 offers solid acid protection and will perform better than Duplex or even Monel, but for high temperature and high concentration acids, you may need to look to Inconel or Hastelloy fasteners. In addition, Alloy 20 washers also show useful resistance to phosphoric acid and nitric acid.

Alloy 20 Socket screws contain a hexagonal socket, or internal drive, in the head. The way to tell if a screw is a socket screw is by the tool required to tighten and loosen it. The general rule of thumb is simple: if you need an allen or hex key, or a special internal wrenching drive, then it can be classed as a socket screw.

The hex head design of the Monel bolt also allows the wrench to easily grasp it, improving the tightening and loosening experience. Monel k500 ASTM material provides advanced quality corrosion protection from hydrofluoric acid, salts, alkalinity and more. Monel NiCu k500 hex bolts are also resistant to seawater and steam, so they are a solid choice for marine applications.

Monel K500 fasteners also have some excellent seawater resistance for marine applications. Monel fasteners also have some high-strength metals that have good toughness at high temperatures.

One of the most widely used general purpose grades of hardenable Inconel alloys, Inconel 718 contains chromium-nickel with minor additions of aluminum and titanium.

Fasteners have excellent resistance to pitting and crevice cracking. In addition, we offer fasteners with excellent resistance to water corrosion, general corrosion and chloride stress corrosion cracking.

Inconel 718 Bolts exhibit extremely high yield, tensile and creep rupture properties at temperatures up to 1300¡ãF.
