Super Duplex 2507 nut offers excellent mechanical properties
Duplex 2507 is usually used in Desalination Equipment, Chemical process pressure vessels, piping and heat exchangers and Marine Applications.
Super Duplex 25 Chrome has more than twice the strength of conventional austenitic stainless steels in the annealed condition. It can also be provided in the cold-worked condition with yield strength exceeding 160 ksi. It maintains good toughness at temperatures down to -50¡ãF (-10¡ãC). Essentially, the Duplex alloys are a compromise; possessing some of the ferritic stress corrosion cracking resistance and much of the superior formability of the common austenitic stainless alloys, more cost effectively than the high nickel alloys. Specifically, duplex S31803’s micro-components experience precipitation with prolonged exposure to high temperatures, and ductility suffers with immersion in extremely cold environments.
