Inconel 600 is a nickel-chromium-iron alloy with excellent corrosion resistance, oxidation resistance and high strength at elevated temperatures. Due to its high nickel content, Inconel 600 is extremely resistant to chloride ion stress corrosion cracking. Age hardening is not required as Inconel 600 is hardened and strengthened by cold work only. The Inconel 600 can operate in temperatures as low as 700¡ãF (370¡ãC).

Nickel based 800 Incoloy Hexagonal Pipe is known to have a good resistance to corrosion. Specifically speaking, the Incoloy 800 Pipe offers sufficient resistance against both carburization as well as oxidation corrosion.

Carbon steel flange is a kind of rim formed at the end of the pipe when it is fixed on the pipe. It is used to seal the ends of pipes, valves or other connections. It has high tensile strength and is available with convex surfaces and supports for easy installation. It is an iron-carbon alloy containing up to 2.1 wt.% carbon. Carbon steel does not have minimum specified levels of other alloying elements, but it usually contains manganese.

Hastelloy C-276 is a Ni Mo CR superalloy added with tungsten, which has excellent corrosion resistance in a wide range of harsh environments. The high content of Ni and Mo makes the Ni steel alloy particularly resistant to pitting and crevice corrosion in reducing environment, while CR transfers the performance of anti-oxidation medium.

Although molybdenum is a good element, excessive use of it may reduce the creep ductility of Gr F11 plate flanges. Graphitization and decomposition of iron carbide may occur when the temperature exceeds 500 degrees Celsius. Chromium has been added to SA A182 F11 alloy steel CL.2 forged pipe flanges to prevent creep ductility reduction and graphitization. In addition, the added chromium also provides oxidation resistance.

Nickel 200 is a solid solution strengthened metal. Nickel 200 Bar Stock contains 99.6% wrought nickel by weight and is considered commercially pure nickel. DIN 2.4066 Bar has good mechanical and physical properties. For example, ASTM B160 N02200 has excellent resistance to many corrosive compounds as well as corrosive environments. Meanwhile, Nickel 200 is a solid solution strengthened wrought alloy that can be designed as round bars and rods. These two components are used interchangeably and can be distinguished from certain key functions.

Monel 400 is a copper and nickel based alloy that is popular today due to its high performance. The alloy has excellent acid and alkali resistance. In addition, it has good tensile strength, ductility, excellent thermal conductivity, and can be hardened by cold work. Additionally, it can be used in applications with temperatures ranging from minus to 538 degrees Celsius.

Nickel Alloy 400 and Monel 400, also known as UNS N04400, is a ductile nickel-copper-based alloy consisting primarily of two-thirds nickel and one-third copper. Nickel Alloy 400 is known for its resistance to a variety of corrosive conditions, including alkalis (or acids), salt water, hydrofluoric acid, and sulfuric acid. Since Monel 400 or Alloy 400 is a cold worked metal, this alloy has high hardness, stiffness and strength. By cold working ASTM B164 UNS N04400 bar stock, the alloy is subjected to higher levels of mechanical stress, which in turn causes changes in the alloy’s microstructure.

Inconel 600 round bar is a nickel-based alloy with benign carburization and excellent corrosion resistance at high temperatures. Inconel 600 round bars are effective against drying Cl2 and many other different gases at mild and high temperatures. Alloy 600 bar is a nickel-chromium alloy with good oxidation resistance and resistance to chloride pressure decomposition cracking, high cleanliness water corrosion and acid oxidation at elevated temperatures.

While it is a very useful metal, it is cost prohibitive in most applications. Monel 400 costs 5 to 10 times as much as regular nickel or copper.

This alloy is not suitable for highly oxidizing acids such as nitric acid and nitrous acid. It is resistant to sulfuric acid up to 80% and hydrochloric acid solutions up to 20%.

The alloy can be machined at satisfactory speeds with machine tools commonly used in the industry. Generally, cold drawn or cold drawn stress relief materials are recommended for the best machinability and smoothest finish.

The Curie temperature of this alloy lies within the ambient temperature range and is affected by changes in the alloy’s chemical composition. Caution is recommended in applications requiring strong non-magnetic properties.

This nickel alloy has good corrosion resistance, good wear resistance and high strength.

Nickel alloys are combinations of nickel and a variety of other metals that make strong, oxidation-resistant products with an average lifespan of 25 to 35 years. Monel 400 is a nickel-copper alloy containing approximately 67% nickel and 23% copper.

Alloy 400 exhibits corrosion resistance to many reducing media.

This alloy is most commonly used in a range of environments from mildly oxidizing to neutral and moderately reducing conditions. Other areas of application for this material are marine environments and other non-oxidizing chloride solutions.

It has excellent solderability and can withstand very high pressure and weight. The alloy has excellent mechanical properties at sub-zero temperatures, with a melting point of 2370¡ã – 2460¡ã F, and the product can be used at temperatures up to 1000¡ã C.

If hardened Monel 400 is the goal, cold working with a soft tooling material is the only option. By cold working, mechanical stress is used instead of heat to change the shape of the metal.

Alloy 400 is a nickel copper solid solution strengthened alloy. The alloy is characterized by moderate strength, good weldability, good general corrosion resistance and good toughness.

It is suitable for temperatures up to 1000¡ãF (538¡ãC). Alloy 400 has excellent resistance to cavitation and erosion in fast-flowing brackish or seawater.

Alloy 400 also has excellent corrosion resistance in a variety of media including seawater, hydrofluoric acid, sulfuric acid and alkalis. Used in marine engineering, chemical, hydrocarbon processing equipment and heat exchangers.

Alloy 400 is virtually immune to chloride stress corrosion cracking in typical environments. Generally, its corrosion resistance is good in reducing environment, but poor in oxidizing environment.

Alloy 400 (UNS N04400) is a nickel-copper alloy with high strength (comparable to structural steel) and toughness.

Monel 400 operates in a wide range of acidic and alkaline environments and has excellent ductility and thermal conductivity. Its properties make it ideal for heavy-duty applications and those requiring a high melting point and toughness in the harshest conditions.

Monel 400 contains the same levels of nickel and copper as the natural nickel ore found.
