TItanium tubing for aerospace
Titanium is non-magnetic, has a higher melting point than steel alloys and good heat transfer properties, these properties mean that it is commonly used in heat exchange processes.
Titanium EFW tubes form a very thin surface film of conductive oxide when exposed to air in the presence of surface oxygen. In fact, no other material can match the economic and technical properties offered by titanium in seawater applications. Titanium resists crevice corrosion up to about 80¡ãC in seawater. Titanium is also immune to corrosion by microorganisms. In addition to its high resistance to uniform corrosion attack, CRA is also highly resilient to pitting corrosion, crevice corrosion and stress corrosion.
