The nickel alloy is dual certified (800H/HT) and combines the properties of both forms. Incoloy 800H/HT alloy was intended for high temperature structural applications.

Due to the alloy’s very high mechanical strength, dual-phase fastener manufacturers can reduce the weight of their designs by thinning the cross-section of the final product, proving a cost-saving alternative to other grades of stainless steel.

ASTM A193 Grade B7 is the standard material specification for chromium-molybdenum alloy steel fasteners for high-strength, high-temperature, and special-purpose applications. Grade B7 is a heat treated chromium molybdenum alloy steel with a minimum tensile requirement of 100 ksi, a yield strength of 75 ksi and a maximum hardness of 35 HRC. The ASTM A193 specification covers requirements for chemical composition, mechanical properties, hardness, heat treatment, and recommended nut washers for Class B7 fasteners. ASTM A193 Grade B7 is the broadest specification for fasteners, commonly found in bolts or pipes, pressure vessels, valves, flanges and fittings.

Super Duplex UNS S32750 bar has excellent resistance to stress corrosion cracking in chlorine containing environments. After heating to a solution treatment temperature of 1080¡ãC to 1120¡ãC, quenching is required.

Alloy C-276 has excellent resistance to pitting and stress corrosion cracking. It is also one of the few materials that can withstand the corrosive effects of wet chlorine, hypochlorite and chlorine dioxide.

Incoloy 800H and 800HT are members of the Incoloy 800 family of alloys and have the same chemical composition, but slightly different levels of carbon, titanium and aluminum. Although ASTM B165 UNS N04400 material has lower strength in the annealed condition, it exhibits excellent mechanical properties even at sub-zero temperatures. 254 SMO (1.4547) fasteners are made from a high-end stainless steel alloy developed for resistance to salt water and chloride corrosion. This 6-Moly (6% molybdenum) alloy has good localized corrosion resistance, and 254 SMO provides much higher strength than other austenitic stainless steels.

254 SMO Bar is a high alloyed austenitic stainless steel grade. This stainless steel grade has been developed for use in seawater and other media containing corrosive chlorides.

Alloy steel is divided into two categories: high-alloy steel and low-alloy steel. Low alloy steel flanges, on the other hand, contain about 0.05 ¨C 0.25% carbon and up to 2.0% manganese.

The yield strength of duplex stainless steel is twice that of austenitic stainless steel. This feature allows designers to reduce weight when designing products, making this alloy more cost-effective than 316, 317L.
