The physical properties of Hastelloy C276 tubing indicate that it is a high strength alloy with a density (kg/m3) of 8.89 g/cm3, a melting point of 1370 ¡ãC (2500 ¡ãF) and a yield strength (0.2%Offset) of Psi ¨C 52,000 , MPa ¨C 355, tensile strength Psi ¨C 1,15,000, MPa ¨C 790 and elongation 40%.
Hastelloy C276 tube has a high molybdenum content, making it significantly resistant to pitting and crevice corrosion in a wide range of processing environments. Hastelloy C276 seamless pipe is designated UNS N10276 and Werkstoff number 2.4819. Hastelloy C276 welded pipe can be welded by common welding methods. Excessive heat input should be avoided during welding of C276 alloy tubes. SCH40 Hastelloy C276 Pipe, Hastelloy C276 Clad Pipe and Alloy C276 Welded Pipe perform extremely well in extreme conditions, alleviating operator concerns about possible failure.
Due to the Hastelloy C276 pipe gauge, it hardens more easily than most austenitic stainless steels and may require several stages of cold working, intermediate annealing. INCONEL Alloy C-276 is typically annealed at 2100-2150¡ãF (1150-1175¡ãC) and rapidly cooled by methods such as water quenching.
