Due to reduced ductility, B2 fasteners are not recommended for use between 1000¡ãF and 1600¡ãF.

Premature failure may occur if Alloy B2 is used in the presence of iron or copper in systems containing hydrochloric acid.

Alloy C-276 has exceptional resistance to a wide variety of chemical environments.

C-276 alloy has excellent resistance to pitting and to stress-corrosion cracking. It is also one of the few materials that withstands the corrosive effects of wet chlorine gas, hypochlorite, and chlorine dioxide.

Alloy X pipe bend specimens showed no carburization at all. Of ten materials evaluated in an atmosphere of hydrogen, nitrogen and ammonia at 1100 Deg.
