Inconel 600 is an austenitic alloy with high nickel content that is non-magnetic and has excellent mechanical properties at both high temperatures and cryogenic temperatures. Inconel 600 has excellent resistance to oxidation at high temperatures. It is the standard material for nitriding containers because of its resistance to nitrogen at high temperatures.
