Monel K500(UNS NO5500) alloy has excellent corrosion resistance, and at the same time has higher strength and hardness than Monel 400. This is because elements such as Al and Ti are added to the alloy, and after a certain heat treatment, there are dispersed intermetallic compounds on the matrix. The structure is a single-phase austenite structure and is precipitated by dispersed Ni3 (Al, Ti) precipitates.
